Level 3 Specialist Support for teaching and learning
This qualification is aimed at members of the school workforce who directly support the teaching and learning of pupils in a teaching assistant or learner support assistant role.
The qualification provides the knowledge, understanding, and skills of all aspects of specialist support needed for strategies to support learning alongside the teacher, bilingual and special needs support, subject specific roles, behaviour management, attendance, personal development and reflective practice.

Qualification Structure
Learners must complete all mandatory units to achieve 32 credits and 12 credits from the optional units. Learners will achieve a total of 44 credits.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must be 16+
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but practical elements will be assessed on the course.
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2
