Contract: Term time
Salary: £8.60p.h

Duties include:

We are looking to recruit a reception / office admin apprentice to work alongside experienced office staff and undertake the following duties:

  • Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
  • Meeting and greeting visitors, parents and pupils
  • Answering phone calls, Screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.
  • Liaising with parents / carers and other contacts to school
  • Escorting pupils to class / collecting from class
  • Delivering items to classes
  • Checking diaries and making entries where appropriate.
  • Provide general office support to Head Teacher, Business Manager, Secretary and Teachers
  • Maintaining school online systems
  • Support in the preparation of meetings and events
  • Attending meetings where relevant

As part of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake a structured training programme that includes:

  • On-the-job training – gaining practical experience within a school setting.
  • Off-the-job training – attending sessions covering safeguarding, behaviour management, child development, and learning strategies.
  • Regular assessments and feedback to track progress and improve skills.
  • Additional learning support, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and communication.

Minimum A*-C GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
