Job Description

Duties include:
We are looking to recruit a reception / office admin apprentice to work alongside experienced office staff and undertake the following duties:
- Maintaining office systems, including data management and filing
- Meeting and greeting visitors, parents and pupils
- Answering phone calls, Screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.
- Liaising with parents / carers and other contacts to school
- Escorting pupils to class / collecting from class
- Delivering items to classes
- Checking diaries and making entries where appropriate.
- Provide general office support to Head Teacher, Business Manager, Secretary and Teachers
- Maintaining school online systems
- Support in the preparation of meetings and events
- Attending meetings where relevant

As part of this apprenticeship, the successful candidate will undertake a structured training programme that includes:
- On-the-job training – gaining practical experience within a school setting.
- Off-the-job training – attending sessions covering safeguarding, behaviour management, child development, and learning strategies.
- Regular assessments and feedback to track progress and improve skills.
- Additional learning support, particularly in literacy, numeracy, and communication.
