Rebecca is one of our September starts currently studying her Level 2 STLS qualification. Rebecca is currently based in the primary school her children have grown up in. Rebecca says she has found that being a mother has helped her to adapt and settle into the setting easily. Rebecca is very keen to learn new things and challenges herself! No task is ever too hard or too much, and automatically gets stuck in! It is clear to see from feedback given from her school-based mentor and other staff that Rebecca is a valued member of the team, with comments such as ‘a pleasure to work with’. Rebecca is currently taking small groups for interventions to help children who require additional support and help relieve teacher duties. Rebecca is also currently working closely with a child with ASD, and after working in the school myself up until the Summer, have personally been able to see the progress the pupil has made by having Rebecca by their side. Rebecca’s nurturing and supportive approach has allowed pupils to boost confidence and achieve goals. Rebecca is truly a pleasure to have as a learner and always puts 100% effort into her work. I am excited to continue to support Rebecca throughout her qualification and watch her flourish in her accomplishments and career.
