Level 2 Supporting Teaching & Learning
This qualification is aimed at members of the school workforce who directly support the teaching and learning of pupils in a teaching assistant or learner support assistant role.
The qualification provides the knowledge and understanding needed to work directly with children or young people in supporting the assessment for learning, developing relationships, promoting equality and diversity, and understanding how to safeguard the wellbeing of children and young people.
Qualification Structure
Learners must complete all mandatory units to achieve 24 credits, 3 credits from optional group A and 3 credits from optional group B. Learners will achieve a total of 30 credits.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must be 16+
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but practical elements will be assessed on the course.
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2
