Two Achieve More Training Teaching Apprentices have progressed to gain the Level 4 HLTA Status with GwE.

Ben Lockley, originally from Ysgol Esgob Morgan in Denbighshire, but now of Ysgol Gogarth in Conwy Council and Jake Cooke from Broughton Primary School in Flintshire completed their TA Apprenticeships in 2021/22, both have gained full time roles in Education and over the last year and have now secured the Level 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) Status. This enables them to take small groups of learners themselves for specific teaching and learning activities. Below are some quotes from their HLTA assessors in GwE:

Ben Lockley

“In fulfilling the requirements of the HLTA status, Ben demonstrated a range of skills , including self-motivation in developing his own skills and those of others.   Ben’s strong work ethic and independence was evident throughout. Ben showed confidence in leading others and reflecting on experiences, with his self-reflection being a great strength, sharing his expertise and support willingly, with teamwork and communication at the heart of everything he did.”

Jake Cooke

Throughout his assessment for HLTA status, Jake clearly demonstrated the values and attitudes of a Higher Level teaching Assistant. He demonstrated expertise in more than one area, and is more than willing to share this expertise with others. He has an infectious enthusiasm for learning.”
