Johnston CP School win sport equipment competition

Achieve More Training are delighted to announce that Johnston Community Primary School are the winners of our school sport equipment competition.

The competition was run in conjunction with Net World Sports to celebrate Apprenticeship Week Wales, as well as the launch of our free-to-download PE and School Sport Mentor Guidance document.

Johnston CP were the first Pembrokeshire school to sign up to the apprenticeship service with Achieve More Training, after it launched in May 2021.

Net World Sports, who are based in Wrexham, are the number one supplier for all your sporting equipment. From football to golf, and cricket to tennis, they have everything you need – even with next day delivery.

To be in with a chance of winning, schools had to follow both Achieve More Training and Net World Sports on Twitter, as well as retweeting the post announcing the competition.

The prize, which was £500 worth of sports equipment, helped to attract a large number of entrants, with the tweet being shared 62 times and liked 199 times as schools around Wales got involved.

The winner was determined by using an online spinning wheel, with every school who entered included, and the Pembrokeshire school were the lucky ones who will now benefit from this great prize.

Matt Hilliker, Director of Achieve More Training, said: “Thanks to all applicants from schools across Wales and congratulations to competition winners Johnston Community Primary School!

“They have already ordered the £500 worth of new sport equipment for their children to make the most of, now that the sun is out!

“It’s great to see that Johnston Community Primary School already have a PE and School Sport Apprentice, and have utilised the FREE to download PESS Mentor guide.

“If any more schools want more information about the PE and School Sport Apprenticeship, don’t hesitate to get in touch.’

We would like to thank every school who entered the competition. Sharing the post on Twitter not only entered schools into the competition, it also increased our online reach and hopefully went a long way towards making more people aware of what we do at Achieve More Training – so the support of every school involved was greatly appreciated.

Pembrokeshire schools can sign up to the Achieve More Training apprenticeship service by contacting Pembrokeshire Area Manager, Wyndham Williams, on wyn@achievemoretraining.com, or by calling 07377201118
