Peter Agnew is a freelance educational consultant with over three decades of experience in teaching and educational leadership. Peter has recently moved on from a ten-year tenure as headteacher at Darland High School, during which time he reversed a negative budget and developed the school into a thriving, oversubscribed establishment, which secured the Daily Post’s accolade of the Best School in Wrexham in 2018. Previously, Peter had worked as a senior leader in both Flintshire and Denbighshire.

As an experienced Peer Inspector with Estyn, Peter has a deep knowledge of what works well in schools, both from a pedagogic and management perspective. He will be drawing deeply on his experience of developing leaders within schools and the most recent research on successful schools, to create a programme that promises to be engaging, informative and focused on developing your leadership skills in preparation for the next step in your career.
