Lesley was previously Managing Director of the Work Based Learning Services at Grwp Llandrillo Menai. She has now set up an Apprenticeship Training Agency in partnership with the Directors from Achieve More Training. The aim of the agency is to provide a recruitment, HR and payroll service to employers during the period a young person is undertaking their apprenticeship.

Lesley qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Ernst and Young, Liverpool in 1989 and then moved to Wales with her husband to set up his accountancy practice and start a family. Lesley moved into Work Based Learning in 1994 and it quickly became her passion. When she joined Coleg Menai in 2002, they had an apprenticeship contract of £1m but over the 17 years Lesley and her team grew this provision to over £10m and became a main apprenticeship contract provider in Wales. Lesley also trained as an Estyn part time Inspector for work-based provision and was also on the board for the National Training Federation for Wales.
