Level 3 Playwork
This qualification is aimed at those learners already working in a play setting such as pre-school, nursery, wrap around care, playgroups, schools, youth settings and community clubs and wish to progress to, a senior role in playwork settings for their career development.
The purpose of the qualification is to develop the learner’s skills, knowledge, and understanding of the principles of playwork, including safeguarding and promoting positive relationships. The qualification will also cover playwork values, the importance of play, and playwork in children’s and young people’s lives.
Qualification Structure
Learners must achieve 46 credits from the 13 mandatory units and a minimum of 19 credits from the 11 optional units totaling 65 credits.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must be 16+
There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification, but practical elements will be assessed on the course.
There is an element of communication (discussing, presenting, reading and writing) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2
