Level 2 Activity Leadership
By completing this qualification, You will gain a key understanding of the theory and practice behind delivering safe, ethical and effective activity sessions. Improving knowledge and confidence to be able to plan, deliver and review a range of engaging activities.
This qualification is ideal for individuals who aspire to work in roles as sport coaches, fitness instructors, activity co-ordinators, youth workers and leisure assistants.
If already in one of these roles, you can also gain a technical certificate alongside in Level 2 Award in Pool Lifeguarding, Level 2 Certificate in Teaching Swimming, Level 2 Diploma in Team Leading, Level 2 Certificate in Coaching, or Level 2 PE and School Sport.
Qualification Structure
Learners must successfully complete all 6 mandatory units and 2 of 13 optional units to achieve this qualification.
Learner Entry Requirements
Learners must be 16+
No experience of previous activity leadership needed, but practical elements will be assessed on the course.
There is an element of communication (discussing, coaching and feedback) involved and learners should have basic skills in communication pitched at level 2
