Vikki Courtman - Tutor/Assessor
Vikki has over sixteen years’ experience in the leisure industry, she was one of the first 5x60 Sport Leaders in Wales. Post school Vikki became one of only 12 Young Ambassadors for Wales to steer the future of sport in the community and inspire a generation, as part of the London Olympics and Paralympics 2012 promise. Vikki was highly involved in the roll out of sporting sessions in the Wrexham area and pathways developed across Wales in sport. This led to the opportunity to be involved in the Olympic torch relay and the Commonwealth Baton Relay.
Post school Vikki studied a BTEC in Sport, progressing to Liverpool John Moores with distinction stars, to study Sport Development and Inclusion. Graduating from Liverpool with a 2:1. Vikki continued her education and completed a master’s in education in Children with Autism, graduating with a distinction. Following her education Vikki ran sports programs for children with autism in several different locations across England and Wales.
Vikki has been a swimming teacher for fifteen years, starting off as a volunteer whilst in school. Vikki continues to teach swimming twice a week alongside her role at Achieve More Training, specialising in swimming lessons for children with additional needs. She was nominated for Swim Teacher of the Year in Wales 2020 and won the award in 2021. Vikki has also been a personal trainer for three years and has over twenty qualifications/awards in different sports.
In more recent years Vikki began working for a specialist school in Wrexham in 2023, working with children who have challenging behaviours.
Vikki is an extremely active individual with ambitions to complete a full Ironman. She currently swims for Chirk Dragons, competing in National events across in the UK. Vikki also swims competitively in long distance open water races and runs competitively in marathons.
