Steve is a first class BA (Hons) and PGCE graduate from Glyndwr University who is a winner of national sports coaching and community awards in Wales. He has extensive experience of working across the sector in a diverse range of roles including sports development, physical education, school and community sport and alternative provision. Steve is a qualified tutor, lecturer, mentor, assessor and IQA and works externally for the FAW Trust, Street Games, Healthy Futures, Sport Structures and Sport Wales as well as being a licensed tutor for 1st4sport, UK Coaching, NUCO and Sports Leaders UK.

One of Steve’s main passions is football and he is a current performance director, coach educator and safeguarding tutor for the FAW Trust. He has previously held coaching positions at Holywell Town FITC and Flintshire County FA and also coached at both Everton FC and Swansea FC development centres. Steve was also an advisory board member at both Sport Wales and CIMSPA Wales and volunteered at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the UEFA Champions League Final in 2017. He is now an active member of the European Association of Sports Management and holds a keen interest in sports policy.
