Subject: 2 Year Apprenticeship
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Fixed Term
Salary Type: Monthly
Salary: £144.30 per week
Brief overview:
A two year full time Apprentice Leisure Assistant position has arisen for any enthusiastic, vibrant, hardworking person. The position is a great opportunity to enter, and receive a thorough grounding in the Leisure and Recreation Industry. There will be plenty of opportunities to develop both general and specific skills within the staff development programme.
Job roles will include:
| The main duties of the posts are to assist in the preparation of the facilities in the Leisure Centre such as:
· Lifeguarding the centre’s extensive swimming programme (applicant must pass Royal Life Saving Society Course in the first 3 months – RLSS) · Assist local schools, customers and sports clubs by erecting and dismantling sports equipment in the following areas: Indoor 4g, outdoor 4g, athletics track, James Alexander Barr Tennis Centre and synthetic hockey pitch · Assist Eirias’ events team during large music events, international and regional sporting events, business conferences and tradeshows · Improve the physical and mental wellbeing of young people by helping to deliver a range of sport camps during school holidays

Good communication skills in English are essential, along with a friendly positive attitude. There will also be a requirement to attend monthly lifeguard training.
