Achieve More Training (AMT) has partnered up with Ysgol Aberconwy and Conwy Borough FC to provide local opportunities for young people in Conwy who want a career in Education, Sport, or Leisure.
Conwy Borough FC have hosted a pre-apprentice course for 16-18-year-olds since June. All students will gain a level 1 assistant sports coaching qualification, improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing, whilst gaining an insight into the job roles within Education, Sport, and Leisure. This will culminate with a relevant work experience placement.
All successful students will be guaranteed an interview for the upcoming Apprenticeship vacancies in Conwy starting from September 2021. Course start dates will be every 2 weeks, so those that can’t start in June will be able to join in July or August.
Achieve More Training also offer employers within Education, Sport, and Leisure a FREE apprentice recruitment service. For more information visit www.achievemoiretraining.com or follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, or LinkedIn.
Newly appointed North West Wales Partnership Manager at Achieve More Training, Matthew Jones, stated, “Im excited to start my new role. Having previously worked with Wrexham FC and the racecourse community foundation, and more recently as pastoral manager in Education. I’ve seen first hand the impact physical activity and school sport has by increasing positive experiences for all pupils. We want to thank Conwy Borough FC and Ysgol Aberconwy for the opportunity to widen our offer in Conwy and our team of staff are passionate about sharing their knowledge and experience with the next generation starting their careers with us. All opportunities will be available fully bilingual across Conwy, Gwynedd and Ynys Mon.
