Stephen Devaney – Tutor/Assessor

I have been working within the Sports & Fitness Industry for 14 years, in which I have gained a vast amount of

experience about the industry and business.

I pursued a career in the Fitness industry after a career change from Housing/Architecture to follow a passion I always had as a child.

Within 3 years at David Lloyd Leisure, I grew a consistent client base and promoted and ran courses, which

represents a large percentage of gym income over the previous 3 years.

After my time at David Lloyd. Through successful professional development I took on the role of Fitness

Manager at Sports Direct gym and gained fantastic results operational and through working with the personal

trainers to create their own businesses.

This success led me to become General Manager at Lifestyle Fitness in which I thoroughly enjoyed leading a

fantastic team to hitting targets in every month there.

I then transitioned my fitness experience into social media marketing and delivering qualifications for Lifetime

Fitness and qualified in L2 and L3 Education & Training and CAVA respectively.

I take a great interest in all things videography and social media as well as helping people to achieve their goals. I am hardworking, honest, and work well as part of a team or on my own.
